Priory Memorial Gardens

Royston’s well landscaped Priory Memorial Gardens have been awarded multiple Green Flag awards for their excellent use of green space.  The gardens themselves are a delight, with seasonal displays of perennials, mature woodland and bedding plants, making this an attractive place to walk through or to sit and watch the world go by.


Royston Cave

Discover Royston Cave, hidden beneath Melbourn Street. It was discovered purely by accident in 1742 when a millstone was found just beneath the surface of the ground. The removal of the millstone revealed a vertical shaft into the chalk, which on investigation led into a cave hewn out of the solid chalk.


Royston Information Centre

Discover what there is to see and do in Royston at the new Royston Information Centre (RIC). Located in Royston Library, the RIC is dedicated to providing high quality visitor information and promoting tourism in our town. There is also an opportunity to test your knowledge of Royston’s history using the new touchscreen interactive quiz!


Royston Leisure Centre

Royston Leisure Centre offers a gym, group exercise classes, swimming pool and a sports hall. The gym is superbly equipped with the latest Technogym equipment with state of the art interactive viewing screens allowing you a choice of viewing.


Royston Library

Royston’s well-resourced library is part of the Hertfordshire Libraries network. Events such as toddler tales and baby rhyme time cater for the youngest visitors, and an extensive catalogue of books, audio books, magazines and DVDs, and extensive online services, mean all interests are catered for.


Royston Museum

Explore the rich and diverse collection at Royston & District Museum & Art Gallery. The Museum celebrates the wonderful stories of Royston and its people, from the Ice Age through to the present day.


Royston Parish Church of St John the Baptist

A brand new Splash Park aimed at young children and their families opened in Royston’s Priory Memorial Gardens in the summer of 2016.
