The skies about the Heath are filled with the colourful sight of kites every August, when thousands flock to the Heath to experience the Rotary Club’s annual Kite Festival and Historic Vehicle Show. Daring displays entertain all ages in the main arena, and families enjoy kite making workshops, children’s entertainment and a fun fair.
This annual event is held on Therfield Heath at Royston and is the Clubs “Flagship” event of the year bringing in thousands of spectators from the area. It is always held on the first Sunday of August and this year was due to be held on Sunday 1st August 2021, although was sadly cancelled due to the pandemic.
