Royston Museum

Information

Explore the rich and diverse collection at Royston & District Museum & Art Gallery.

The Museum celebrates the wonderful stories of Royston and its people, from the Ice Age through to the present day. See everything from Stone Age axe heads to Victorian farming equipment and from Second World War helmets to a Rubik’s cube. You can also see the 1855 Columbian Printing Press originally used to print the Royston Crow and, on workshop days, see it in action.

The Royston Tapestry records Royston’s history on one continuous 25-metre long piece of linen. Fourteen scenes have so far been stitched with each depicting a significant point in Royston’s history.

Look out for events and activities for all ages throughout the year.
